Couples Counseling

In my work with couples, I use an attachment lens to support couples to build better bonds and healthier communication patterns. I use elements of both Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman in my work with partners.

Co-Parent Counseling

Co-parenting counseling supports separated and divorced parents to find balance and boundaries in their lives while remaining the best parents they can be. This intervention helps in three main ways—by reducing conflict, improving communication, and implementing helpful parenting strategies.

Family Therapy

Family therapy helps families work through struggles and challenges in a way that result in a stronger family relationship and a greater ability to function as a unit. Family members learn to better communicate with each other and work through conflicts more effectively

Private Recommending Mediation

As a recommending mediator, I help parents come to agreements around a parenting plan in the best interest of their children. If parents are unable to agree, I am able to recommend a course of action that is in the children’s best interest.

Individual Therapy

I love working with adolescents and young adults, as they navigate life’s ups and downs. I work with teens and adults on a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Parenting Coordination

Parenting Coordination (PC) is a child focused dispute resolution process in which the PC assists parents to implement their parenting plan by facilitating their resolution of disputes in a timely manner in the children’s best interests.

My Approach

My style of practice is grounded in a systems approach to helping couples and families dealing with life’s difficulties. I offer practical, evidence based interventions tailored to meet your particular needs. This approach focuses on building a relationship with you and/or your family, identifying the unconscious processes that guide behavior, and supporting everyone within the family system to gain understanding of their behavior and implement change. Even when understanding is elusive (as in divorce), I attempt to gain insight into the larger picture to support your family in negotiating solutions and compromises.
